QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Appraiser of Personal Property with the International Society of Appraisers, the highest level of credential. Designated in Antiques and Residential Contents. Appraisals are compliant with the ISA Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct, and their Report Writing Standards. Special interest in Art Glass. Member of the National American Glass Club, and past member of the Greater San Diego Depression Glass Club (1998-2004).
Over 11 years of personal property appraisal experience. Appraisals conducted for attorneys, CPAs, trustees, individuals, insurance companies, corporations, military, government and non-profit clients. Full time personal property appraiser. Four years of previous experience working with estate sales and antique malls.
Appraisals are compliant with USPAP. The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice sets the standards of professional appraisal practice, technique, ethics and due diligence as set forth by the Appraisal Foundation.
Meets "Qualified Appraiser" requirements of the IRS for estate tax and donation appraisals. 1) A Qualified Appraiser is an individual who has earned an appraisal designation from a recognized professional appraiser organization for demonstrated competency in valuing the type of property being appraised, or has met certain minimum education and experience requirements. 2) The individual regularly prepares appraisals for which he or she is paid. 3) The individual demonstrates verifiable education and experience in valuing the type of property being appraised. 4) The individual has not been prohibited from practicing before the IRS under section 330(c) of title 31 of the United States Code at any time during the 3-year period ending on the date of the appraisal. 5) The individual is not an excluded individual. (Any party connected with buying or selling of the items is also an excluded individual).
